by @poeticheart
a festive acrostic of special memories from when I was a child
Children laughing as the family gathers around
Happy faces celebrating and cousins playing loud
Rituals, traditions and sneaky stuffing-stealers
Isn’t there a joy when you know what it’s all about?
Summer Down Under – Santa melting on a fire-truck
Toes in the pool if we have any luck
Mum trying to stop us from eating all the sweets
All here for a family photo under the old gum-tree
Singing songs about snow and things we’ll never see
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What are some (hopefully pleasant and memorable) memories do you have of Christmas as a child? What rituals do you have that you share with your family?
